Hope is risky because if we get our hopes up, we risk being disappointed again, but hope is worth the risk. There are two ways to live - The first is to live a hopeless life and never be disappointed. The second is to live a hope-filled life with occasional disappointment. 

Our ministry is called Igniting Hope. We have the mandate to ignite hope in lives, families, churches, and in nations. In this blog, I wanted to share some of the truths I most share about hope. 

• Hope is the confident joyful expectancy that good is coming.
• Hope is an overall optimistic attitude about the future based on the goodness and promises of God.
• Hope is the belief that the future will be better than the present and we have the power to help make it so.
• God loves to partner with unreasonably optimistic people.
• Increasing hope is evidence we are renewing our minds with truth. Decreasing hope is the evidence we're renewing our minds with lies.
• There are no hopeless circumstances, just people who do not have hope. Once people get true hope, circumstances cannot stay the same.
• Without a vision the people perish. Hope and vision are linked. Vision and hope for the future gives power and purpose for the present.
• Our lack of hope about a problem is a bigger problem than the problem.
• Every area of our life that doesn't glisten with hope means we are believing a lie and that area of our life is a stronghold of the devil.
• Our Hope level determines our influence level, and the person with the most hope as the most influence.
• After love, hope is the most powerful leadership and influential quality in our homes, in our churches, and in every other sphere of society. 
• God: “Steve and Wendy, I give you permission to be hopeless about anything I am hopeless about.”
