“What do you have?”
The prophet Elisha asked the widow in 2 Kings 4 this question. Even though the widow did not at first believe she had anything of value (“nothing but a little oil”), it started a chain reaction of supernatural debt cancellation and family breakthrough for her.
Let me ask you today, “What do you have?” Your response could start out like the widow’s: “I have nothing except a little . . . ” Basically, she was saying, “I have nothing valuable. I am at a disadvantage.”
Those who are still on the journey toward victorious mindsets focus on what they seemingly don’t have, rather than on what they do have.
This ”lack mindset” is almost always a bigger problem than the problem. As long as we believe we are victims of what we don’t have, we won’t be able to place value on what we do have. When we don’t value something, we are at risk of losing it. “So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away” (Matthew 25:28-29).
When the widow came under a prophetic influence, she began to place value on what she had (attaching faith to it), and it changed everything. This will happen to us too as we allow God’s prophetic anointing to flow to us. We will see what we already have that will take us to major advancement in the next season.
Here is how we can increase the value of what we have:
What do YOU have?
Here is my assignment for you: list and say out loud what you believe you have. What are you good at? What resources do you have that you can dedicate to God to see it multiplied? Consider how you can protect these.
Let’s value what we have like never before. We (and others) will be glad we did.
